Kim Hughes

I graduated from the University of Otago in 1982 and have been practicing Dentistry throughout this time. I travelled to the UK in 1989 and spent 5 years practicing in both the National Health and Private sector. I have been practicing at Redcliffs dental since 1994.

I love the science and art of Dentistry and enjoy getting to know my patients and making them as comfortable as possible whilst I help transform smiles and making a visit to the Dentist fun and enjoyable. I am a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and the Canterbury branch. I regularly attend continuing education courses on all dental disciplines. I am also a member of a local study group where a group of dentists meet monthly to discuss current dental topics.

I'm married with two adult children and four grandchildren. When not practicing dentistry I enjoy socializing with new people, walking, cycling, jewellery making, travel, reading and cooking.

Rahul Chari

Rahul graduated in 2009 from MUHS, India. After graduation, he worked in private practice for 2 years before gaining training in Oral Implantology and full mouth rehabilitation. Following this, he completed the New Zealand Dental Council Registration exam in 2012 and moved to Christchurch in 2013 and has worked here since.

He enjoys practicing general and cosmetic dentistry with special interest in oral surgery, dental implants and replacement of missing teeth. He has completed the MRACDS program from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Rahul regularly attends courses and workshops in NZ and overseas to keep current and expand his dental repertoire. He is appreciated by his patients for his methodical approach and gentle demeanor.

Rahul loves living in Christchurch. He is married and is a doting father to his wee daughter and his fur baby. He is a football and cricket enthusiast, keen traveler and enjoys keeping fit.

Rucha Chari

BDS, MRACDS, MSc Endodontics (London), Member of NZ society of Endodontology, Member of NZDA.

Rucha has lived and worked in Christchurch since 2012. She graduated in 2009 from a leading University in India. She then registered herself as a general dental practitioner in NZ in 2012. She completed the Membership program in General Dentistry from The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2016. She has always had a special interest in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment) and has enthusiastically tried to further her knowledge in this field. In 2021 she completed her Master of Science in Endodontics (with Merit) from Kings College London.

She understands the challenging nature of dentistry and has strived to gain a reputation of being thorough and sincere with her patients and peers. She has incorporated the use of an operating microscope in her endodontic practice to give best results in treatment.

She is a mum to a wee girl and an adorable fur baby! She is an avid reader and likes to dabble in painting.

Leanne Price

I have worked as a dental assistant and receptionist for the last 16 years, before moving to Redcliffs Dental Centre in July 2020 to join a larger team environment. It is my pleasure to connect with people and assist in explaining the complexities of dental treatment. In my spare time I enjoy landscape photography and the new, off the beaten paths that it takes me. For each new location, a new adventure!

Rowena Cameron

I have been working in the Dental industry for over 20 years both as a Dental Assistant and regional sales representative for a dental supply company. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry especially making our patients feel welcome in our modern, friendly practice.

As the Mother of two gorgeous children my days are busy but in my spare time, I enjoy fishing, coaching and watching cricket, gardening, strolling on the beach, swimming and making the most of living in the harbour basin.
